With the challenges faced along his journey, Mr. Ezeilo's experiences uniquely qualify him to shed light on this untold dimension of the broken system. I found the book did an excellent job of weaving the impact on family into narrative of explaining the path to citizenship. This is important at a time when we're debating our American values as it relates to immigration. Some who've not gone through the process will be well served by better understanding the complications and frustration with the slow process where so much is dependent on the decisions of a few people. The process is long and as the writer points out longer and more expensive when mistakes are made. The impact on families are strained as was represented in the book. The key takeaway is that dispite all that's involved the writers determination to become a citizen shows how much it means to him. Some times immigrants see the virtue of citizenship more clearly than those born here. This is an excellent read.
